“If you wish for light, be ready to receive light.” ~ Rumi

NEW MOON in TAURUS: May 6, 2016 @ 3:30pm at 16 degrees

New Moon’s symbolize new beginnings, and thus, we set intentions we wish to fulfill. And, although our intentions and wishes are often parallel, wishes tend to be perceived as a stroke of luck, rather than effort. GOOD NEWS: the energy of this lunations is likely to bring that vibrant stroke of luck into our lives…for it is said, that wishes do come true! SO, with fingers crossed, wishing upon a star, and all the other ritual “woo woo” we create… let’s get down to earth about what defines and informs our dreams, and thus, our lives.

The invitation is to sink into the earthly experience and sense our way through the process; to return to our earthly senses and our connection to what is. And, to feel into what’s needed by allowing the fruits of our efforts to naturally ripen without force or fear.

Venus is often the brightest star in the night sky and as of late she may appear seductive and grippingly sincere… her influence beckons us to receive her abundant blessing. With a grand trine in earth signs, it is wise to be sure we want, or are ready for it, because life has a way of serving that which is ripe to be received.

However, with five planets currently in retrograde (Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto), it may also feel like our lives are on hold or that our plans are at a standstill. All the while Venus, the ruling planet of this lunation in her home territory of Taurus (the sign of sense pleasure and pure presence) and sextile to Neptune, is bringing an air of dreamy sweetness to our lives by charging up our heart circuits and fueling our system with compassion, sincerity, cosmic connection, and self-love.

It is less about doing and more about being. Remembering that we don’t have to go outside of ourselves to get what we want, but rather become a magnetic forcefield attracting our heart’s desire and fulfilling our need for self-sufficiency, pleasure, productivity, and enjoyment. As Frederick Salomon Perls has said, “Lose your mind and come to your senses.”

We begin by letting go of what we think and be with what we know, SO let’s be with nature: dig in the dirt, dance in the breeze, roll in the grass, swim in the lake/river/ocean, listen to the trees, feel the sun, and smell the flowers – as a prescription for communing with life and to taste the best medicine for the Taurean longing in each of us.

Radical Presence is our practice this month and the key to unleash the abundant gifts being offered. In presence, we determine right action. And, with the Sun/Moon forming a grand trine with Jupiter and Pluto we have a triad of planets dancing in the earth signs so we can draw upon the earthly bounty and support of practicality, objectivity, discernment, daily devotion commitment, and discipline.

Whatsoever we treasure becomes either a boon or an adversary. Knowing what we desire and what we value supports our life vision; in the gratitude and grace of what we have and by honoring the gifts of today we will surely be lead into tomorrow and our awareness is crucial in procuring the mystical benefits presently themselves.

Senses perceive the present;
Imaginations shape the future.”
