FULL MOON in SAGITTARIUS: Jun 20, 2016 @ 7:02am at 29 degrees
SUMMER SOLSTICE: June 20, 2016 @ 6:35pm
This lunation is chock-full of inspiration and uplifting vibes. We are extra lit up with the Full Moon culminating in conjunction with the Summer Solstice (the sun’s ingress into Cancer and the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere). This rare happening of full moon + solstice brings an advancement of illuminating power to the current energetic charge. Plus, we get to bask in the expansive rays of a Sagittarius Full Moon a second time; last months lunation was at 1 degree Sagittarius and this month at 29 degrees, together they are creating both a potential opening and a closing – the inevitable contraction that comes with every expansion.
Endings and beginnings are extreme points and can hold heightened emotional peaks, but we get to consciously witness this polarity and discover how to merge our experience from the inside out. We continue to let go of falsehoods of the self and claim more self-truth in order to truly link into our cosmological nature.
The seeds of our intention for this full moon were planted at the Gemini New Moon (where a mutable grand cross was ignited) and invited us to peer through any masks of illusion preventing us from living our most authentic lives. Gemini’s superpower of shapeshifting reminded us that we have the ability to change our reality by changing our perceptions. So, that is what we’ve been doing. Preparing us for this full moon/solstice juncture which is providing access to our Divine Authority and the genetic coding of our soul’s memory. After all, the Sagittarian is the truth seeker and the truth is inevitably found within.
The Summer Solstice gateway is pouring forth an abundance of light. Opportunities are being presented, as are limitations. The acceptance and balance of this polarity is our personal awakening; seeing our shadow and owning it as a conscious creator. With the moon trine Uranus we have support in breaking free from old paradigms that no longer serve our greater good. Every moment creates an opportunity to receive more of ourselves and live openly from the heart.
The divine cosmic plan is already orchestrated, we simply need to know how to tune our instruments and harmonize our vibration. Divine Authority is always present. We connect by understanding ourselves, our environment, and attuning to the movement of time. When we flow freely and positively through the complex matrix of life we meet our higher selves without resistance and flow in alignment with the natural order of our existence.
We measure the limitations in our lives by how limiting our beliefs are. We measure the expansion in our lives by how expansive our beliefs are. Believe in the good and you will live good. Believe in the strength of a weakness and you will be strong. Triumph over the mind will secure the needs of the moment propelling us into presence. Connecting to the power of now is our best bet in coming to know thyself.
Jupiter, the ruler planet of this lunation, is conjunct the North Node in Virgo where our destiny is in view. The qualities of Jupiter are abundant, expansive, and positive and with the skillful means and devoted heart of Virgo our soaring inspiration can finally be brought to form. One arrow, one target, and focused attention is the ultimate goal this time around.
