“The desire for freedom and equilibrium (harmony) is inherent in man (due to the universal in him).” ~ Piet Mondrian

FULL MOON in LIBRA: Mar 31, 2018 @ 8:36 am EST at 10 degrees

The Libran nature seeks balance in all ways, especially in our relationships. Today’s Full Moon calls forth fairness, equality, and justice for anything that our heart can weigh against that of a feather. We are coming to terms with the moral wrongdoings of the world, personal injustices, and denial of self in the name of peace and harmony. This moon insists on alignment, exclusively to that which yields sustainability. Our definition of security is being altered, as is the understanding of its innate value.

More and more we come to know our touchstones — those core values which abide over time and are tried and true. We can no longer bear the weight of false promises hoping it will provide for long-term support. This moon is about showing up for the hard work necessary in relating (this includes relating to ourselves) and being in it for the long haul. Saturn conjunct Mars in Capricorn forms a T-square to the Sun and Moon anchoring this lunation into that which is authentic, essential, and real. It may not be comfortable but inevitably natures inclination for harmony will prevail.

Venus, the ruling planet of Libra, just moved into Taurus after forming a conjunction with Uranus in Aries. The goddess of connection, compassion, and grace is being influenced by the great awakener and radical change maker. This is a reminder to LOVE those wild, independent, eccentric parts of ourselves FREE by expressing the unique beauty that we are! Self-worth is being highlighted here.

Mercury retrograde opposes the moon and is conjunct the Sun in Aries; caution is advised with levels of reactivity and impulsive speech, along with internal conversations and critical self-talk. Words born from the Aries realm can be sharp and wounding and are likely mere projections. The Libra/Aries polarity inevitably mirrors the reflection of self in the other. The ego mind can be fierce and willful, so knowing what and when to give in will be key.

Understanding our inner battles and what’s necessary for resolve will be the work we must endure. Know thyself, know what must be released to have the peace we seek and having the willingness to let it go (without a fight), will help cultivate the balance we long for. If the objective is communion we must cultivate inner equilibrium.

This lunation is about making peace with ourselves and thus improving our capacity to relate. By staying true to ourselves and forming “right” relationships we honor personal integrity that we might build a strong foundation for future change and evolvement.
