This is a time of self-assertion, leadership, pioneering and an invocation of our soul purpose – a call for us to sing our unique song. Gazing into the sacred fire of our soul we remember to listen with our hearts while uplifting the flame of self-will. After recent life-changing shifts and purging of untruths only the embers that remain are ready to be rekindled in order to bring our creations and soul desires to form.
Agni, the sanskrit term in yoga for fire, refers to the fire of willpower when united with wisdom. This wisdom is akin to the union of the initiator of the solar plexus (Mars) with the transcender of the heart (Venus) and is calling forth both the material and the spiritual nature of fire and our most valued expression of individuality. Mars as a symbol of fire and the ruling planet of Aries in the sign of Taurus is a marriage of the masculine and feminine aspects of ourselves and the urge to anchor the spiritual realm into the realm of earth. Just as the rock cycle of geology begins with igneous or fiery rocks, weathering into sedimentary rocks – we mimic nature by first ingiting sacred flames to create and bring to form our highest truth.
