Aries is the sign of initiation and new beginnings, it is fiery and reactive, and with the Moon/Sun conjunct Uranus chances are it will have an electrifying effect with a high powered boosting potential. Being the first new moon of the astrological year (which began at the Spring Equinox) we are renewing our soul fire. It is here, that we firmly connect to our rooted intentions (planted at the Winter Solstice) and re-activate our purpose and personal growth.
There is a dynamic charge to this lunation that could have revolutionary effects. The invitation is to ignite our soul fire and rise up in the flame of our highest vision with courageous momentum. And, to cultivate the strength necessary to align the forces of our personal will with our Atma or higher spiritual selves.
Mars, the ruling planet of Aries and the Manipura Chakra (solar plexus), is currently in the sign of Sagittarius. We are charging up the solar plexus by igniting our soul passion and aligning with our higher truths. Pluto, the co-ruler of the solar plexus, is squaring the Moon/Sun, so this is a good time to check in with our lower desires and notice if deep seeded fears, jealousy, subtle manipulation, vulnerability, or powerlessness have ceased our mobility or caused misguided reactions. Right action is required now more than ever and right action means that we are aligned with Source.
When our actions are correctly timed and harmonized with our hopes, dreams, and wishes we touch into the flow of life and become one with the stream of synchronicity and infinite potential. This lunation will inevitably show us how to tap into this cosmic momentum.
Saturn retrograde in Sagittarius is supporting this lunation, showing us where our limiting beliefs or ideologies might be getting in our way of expansion and freedom. Uranus, the planet of freedom and independence, (along with the Moon/Sun) is in a supportive trine to Saturn and has the ability to shatter Saturn’s restrictive nature; giving us the opportunity to break through limitations. And, although it may not initially feel all positive remember that challenges, obstacles, and time delays arise to show us where we are living out of our integrity and then gently (or in this case abruptly) nudge us back into alignment.
If we haven’t broken down the structures that no longer serve us and begun to build new foundations to support our soul evolution we are bound to realize it through this lunation. This period is assisting us in assessing all the pieces that were shattered and may still not be intact after the Pluto square Uranus that began in 2011. We have an opportunity to be so present with what is, honoring the truth of who and where we are with resoluteness.

It is prime time to do whatever is necessary to come alive and allow vitality and prana (spiritual energy) to flow through us and to lift our wings with ease as we soar into freedom. We are becoming pioneers for our life vision and taking a stand for ourselves by realizing that no one else has greater power over us than we do.
We begin again…the journey to realizing the Self.
